Joel Poncha Lemayian is a results-driven Electrical Engineer and PhD candidate at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montréal, specializing in FPGA/ASIC design, secure hardware systems, wireless communication, and hardware–software co-design. His research includes side-channel-resistant cryptocurrency wallets, hardware-accelerated Ethereum Virtual Machines, and real-time CNN implementations on FPGA. He has strong expertise in RTL design, verification, and performance optimization using industry tools. Joel has held research and engineering roles across Canada, Turkey, and Kenya, published peer-reviewed research, and holds a patent in secure hardware architecture, with strong academic impact.
