Dr. Tegegne Getachew Legass | Spatial Computing | Best Researcher Award

Mekdela Amba University | Ethiopia

Dr. Tegegne Getachew Legass (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Mekdela Amba University, Ethiopia, specializing in applied analysis, mathematical physics, and nonlinear partial differential equations. He earned his PhD in the analysis of PDEs from Bahir Dar University (2024) and has established a strong research profile focused on the spatial analyticity and asymptotic behavior of solutions to nonlinear dispersive equations arising in fluid and plasma dynamics. His work provides new and improved lower bounds for the radius of spatial analyticity for a wide class of equations, including nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS), generalized and higher-order KdV, Benjamin–Bona–Mahony, Kawahara, Zakharov–Kuznetsov, nonlinear wave, and modified Camassa–Holm equations. Dr. Getachew has published extensively in reputable international journals such as Mathematische Nachrichten, Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Analysis and Applications, and International Journal of Mathematics, and he actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer, external examiner, and research administrator.
