Dr. Ali Kaddour is an Associate Professor of Speech and Language Therapy at the Tipaza University Center, Algeria, and Director of the University Help Center for Psychology and Speech Therapy. He holds a PhD in Speech and Language Pathology and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Algiers 2. A member of the Movement Disorder Society (MDS), he is a former consultant speech and language pathologist in the Neurosurgery Department at the University Hospital Center Bab El Oued, Algiers. His academic and clinical work focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of speech, voice, and language disorders of neurological origin, with particular emphasis on Parkinson’s disease, dysarthria, dysphonia, and communication disorders. Dr. Kaddour’s research integrates acoustic analysis, perceptual evaluation, and patient-reported outcomes, including validation of diagnostic and assessment tools adapted to Algerian Arabic speakers. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed national and international journals and contributed scholarly books on voice handicap, dysarthria management, and speech therapy techniques in neurological disorders. In addition to his teaching and research roles, he actively contributes to professional development through specialized training in movement disorders and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
